Dr Ashton will outline why sex is an important topic to raise with clients (even if it is not the presenting issue) and common barriers reported by psychologists. She will provide an overview of key terms, theories and frameworks (such as sexual response theory) that can be used to understand sexual issues and share some strategies for holding an inclusive, safe, therapeutic space.
