For all SA Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Registrars and Clinical Psychology Students. Are you up to date regarding the challenges facing our profession of Clinical Psychology in Australia?

The Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA)- SA Section, invites all Clinical Psychology colleagues for afterwork drinks and canapes to be followed by Dr Judy Hyde one-hour address of the current shape of our profession, contemporary political issues concerning Clinical Psychology, and a forecast of steppingstones into the future. It is hoped a robust and vigorous open forum discussion among colleagues will follow.

This presentation will provide information regarding:

  • Details of ACPA’s consultations with key figures in mental health service delivery
  • Implications arising from the Mental Health Reference Group Report and the APS White Paper.
  • The Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and Psychology Board of Australia in determining the role of clinical psychologists and other psychologists in mental health.
  • The potential of stepped care in mental health service delivery and the role of clinical psychology in shaping services at the more severe end of the spectrum.
  • ACPA’s current opportunities and challenges for this vision, such as the review of Areas of Practice Endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia will be described.

All attendees must be registered. Registration fee includes GST.

No late registrations due to venue restrictions.

Time:
30 minutes pre lecture drinks and canapes from 6pm. Lecture commences 6.30pm.

Catering:
Registrants with special dietary requirements need to identify needs when processing registration and payment. Please note The Hotel will endeavour to best accommodate all registrant special dietary and allergy needs. The Hotel Chef will be able to accommodate most special dietary requirements, please note some dishes may contain traces of allergens that could have health implications for patrons with food related allergies, health conditions or intolerances. The Hotel nor ACPA cannot be held responsible for any harm suffered from the presence of allergen traces.

Parking:
Free from 6pm – All day along South Terrace in walking distance of Rydges.
1.Paid- Rydges Adelaide offers $10.00 all day car parking (subject to availability). Entrance is on South Terrace. Please press the buzzer located at the South Terrace entrance, park your car and then see Reception on check-in.
2. Paid- there is independent pay for parking on the corner of Wilcox St/South Terrace

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Receipts / Registration confirmation: Trybooking.com issues receipts at the time of registration, and this confirms registration. Please retain receipts for your records, including as a Tax Invoice/Receipt for the transaction. No other receipts are available via this booking system.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds are offered for all cancellations received in writing via email to events.office@acpa.org.au. Cancellations must be received by midnight CST 11/9/2019.
Regrettably, due to the logistics and terms of event management, refunds are not possible after this date, regardless of personal circumstances or difficulties preventing attendance. The cancellation policy is final and not negotiable. However, should the event be cancelled for any reason, a full refund will be issued.
Transfer of registration: Registrations are transferable to another person in all cases. However, notification of transfer of registration including any dietary requirements must be received by midnight CST 11/9/2019. Transfer of registration to another person is NOT possible after this date, or for only a portion of the event.
